I will try (in the near future) to provide full resolution (unsharpened, no NR) images from the 1Dx...free for download (you do your own PP)...in my TEST galleries section.

I'll probably just use 2 scenes...1 night scene and maybe a sunset scene...

If pbase found a solution so our images could not be taken for free... I'd be more than happy to post them in full resolution. Unfortunately i've found more than one case of images taken and used and abused with no compensation ! That's the downside of internet i suppose ;-(
Anyhow, that 1DX is one heck of a photographic tool !!!!

I know there are risks involved in posting images that are at a high resolution, so some folks may be wary of posting them. But I agree - I often come on here to scrutinise images taken with specific lenses or cameras, and most of the time it is difficult to make any judgements since the images are not well optimised, or of sufficient size. My main gripe though is that many of us are too heavy-handed when it comes to sharpening, and otherwise lovely images are spoiled by the artefacts that excessive sharpening causes :-(

How about we start a trend with this new camera (or for all cameras going forward) where we post images of a size to show the capabilities of the camera and photographers skill.
Perhaps in the range of 1024-1920 by xxxx, and it would also be great to withhold all the 'sample crops' that do nothing more than show how grainy and blurry 1:1 pixel images can appear... ;=)

..There are some great post processing tools available in this digital age, it would be very beneficial to choose one and become reasonably proficient in its use.
